Attorney
Alex relishes the opportunity to fight for the underdog: people who need help in dire circumstances. When people are at their lowest or in situations that feel impossible, that is when they most need a helping hand. In many of those situations, things have gotten to the point when court intervention is required so that people may get the justice they deserve. That is where Alex can step in to provide that much needed assistance.
Alex is a problem solver who generates streamlined solutions in a variety of litigation matters including personal injury, qui-tam, commercial, patent, and oil & gas cases. He has distilled that experience into an ability to help individuals understand and work through their most complex issues, providing a clear roadmap to his clients so that they can make the informed decisions that drive favorable outcomes.
Drawing upon his educational background in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin, Alex brings an analytical perspective to bear that allows him to tackle complex legal issues. Looking at matters from multiple angles and remaining laser-focused on an optimal end-result, Alex is able to uncover creative alternatives that are not always obvious to others.
Alex earned his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Texas Intellectual Property Law Journal. This enabled him to develop his writing abilities to present the key issues in a clear manner to his audience. Before law school, Alex worked in the medical device regulatory field as well as the Texas legislature. That experience has given him an understanding of the medical field that he is able to utilize to help individuals as they recover. Before joining Ellzey & Associates, Alex honed his litigation skills working as an attorney at an AM 100 law firm and a litigation boutique. Outside of the office, he enjoys staying active by fishing, hiking, and biking.
